Facility Manager is designed
for One Call underground facility owners, typically utility companies. These companies
usually have the responsibility for providing their underground facility information to
the local one call center. In most cases, the information will need to be presented in the
form of grids, township range sections, or freehand polygons. Instead of working off paper
maps or systems with old technologies such as AutoCAD drawings, Facility Manager has
employed state-of-the-art mapping. Allowing you to visualize where your facilities are in
relation to the geographical features such as streets, county and township boundaries,
township range sections, and so on. Based on what you see in this environment, you can
easily create and maintain a database. You can also import data from other mapping systems
into Facility Manager as an overlay, and effectively modify your facility database. After
running an Export routine, your database can be easily submitted to the one call center
for update.
